Cancellations communicated through email or social media platforms will not be accepted. The cancellation date will be considered the date on which the cancellation request is confirmed by our team over the call.
2.4 Date Change & Modification Policy
We understand that flexibility matters. Guests may request a date change subject to availability:
- Date changes requested 15 or more days before check-in: Free of charge (subject to availability)
- Date changes requested 7–14 days before check-in: A rescheduling fee of INR 1,000 applies
- Date changes requested less than 7 days before check-in: Treated as a cancellation as per the standard policy
A maximum of one date change is permitted per booking. Any subsequent change will be treated as a fresh cancellation and new booking.
2.5 Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our or your reasonable control – including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, severe weather events, or public health emergencies – The Calm Stay will offer a complimentary date reschedule or a credit note valid for 12 months from the original check-in date. Refunds in such cases are at our discretion and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2.6 Cancellations by The Calm Stay
In the rare circumstance that The Calm Stay must cancel a confirmed booking due to unforeseen operational issues (e.g., property damage, infrastructure failure), we will:
- Provide at least 7 days’ advance notice wherever possible
- Offer a full refund of all amounts paid, OR
- Offer an alternative date at the same or equivalent rate
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from such cancellations (e.g., travel costs, airline tickets).
2.6 Food Costs
Food costs are not included in the booking amount.
